About MRM Foundation & Objectives
MRM Foundation is a charitable organization established in the memory of Late Mahakali and Ravinath, parents of the Settler of this Trust, Prof. (Dr.) Nagendra Kumar Jha.
The Foundation works for the benefit of the downtrodden and poor sections of society to ensure their happiness and dignity. While engaged in various social activities, its primary focus is on promoting education — the ultimate source of all-round development for every individual.
Headquartered in the capital city of Bihar at Bahadurpur Bagicha, Bazarsamiti, Rajendranagar, Patna-800016, the Trust extends its services across the country through Educational, Economic, Health, Welfare, Sports & Cultural, and other social activities.
Educational Activities
- To establish, develop, maintain schools, colleges, universities, madrasas, pre-primary, technical/non-technical institutions, computer/skill/vocational training centres, libraries, labs, research centres, etc.
- To provide aid/financial assistance to such institutions.
- To offer advanced teaching/training in Shariat Laws, Islamic studies, and comparative religions.
- To grant scholarships, stipends, financial aid to poor, meritorious, orphan, and disabled students.
- To take over/manage educational institutions by mutual consent.
- To run institutions for legal, engineering, medical, and paramedical training.
- To publish research journals, books, magazines, periodicals on education and socio-economic issues.
- To conduct conferences, seminars, workshops, competitions; award diplomas, certificates.
- To run special institutions for handicapped, blind, SC/ST/minorities/backward classes with training & support.
- To promote female education through institutions, programmes, centres, guidance, adult education.
Economic Activities
- To run training centres for handicapped/orphans to enable self-employment.
- To provide financial assistance to destitute.
- To impart vocational training for urban/rural women, unemployed minority youth; assist in setting up industries.
- To provide market facilities for small/home-based industries.
- To engage in export/import of goods and services.
Health Activities
- To organize medical check-up camps, health care/control programmes.
- To provide medical aid to needy persons irrespective of caste/religion/status.
- To establish/run hospitals, nursing homes; aid such institutions.
- To run paramedical training institutions.
- To establish drug de-addiction/counselling centres, especially for women/children/orphans.
- To run maternity, family planning, health centres for shelterless women, children, aged persons.
Welfare Activities
- To run homes for destitute, orphans, mentally retarded, handicapped, senior citizens.
- To promote national integration and general welfare.
- To uplift backward/minority communities economically.
- To receive donations, grants, subscriptions, loans and apply solely for trust objects.
- To acquire/hold movable/immovable property for trust advancement.
- To raise funds through donations/grants/loans for public utility objects and trust aims.
Sports & Cultural Activities
- To encourage youth/student athletics; conduct tournaments, games, sports.
- To organize/promote cultural activities for social benefit.
Other Fields & Activities
- To establish veterinary dispensaries, breeding farms, milk centres; assist dairy units.
- To support small/marginal farmers, landless labourers in poultry, goatery, fishery, sericulture.
- To develop social forestry in rural areas.
- To construct houses for weaker sections under govt/village schemes.
- To work on rural electrification, light points in villages/Harijan/tribal areas.
- To establish/maintain parks, gardens, gyms, sports clubs, dharamshalas, temples, mosques, rest houses.
- To promote entrepreneurship, women empowerment, poverty alleviation, environment protection, ecological balance.
General / Other Objects
- To accept donations, grants, loans, dividends, rents from national/international sources.
- To invest trust funds/properties without violating Income Tax Act section 11(5).
- To open/maintain bank accounts; operate via authorized office bearers.
- To deal with trust property as deemed fit for objects.
- To take over/manage other charitable institutions/projects.
- To acquire land/buildings/industry/property by various means.
- To create reserve/sinking/provident funds for depreciation, repairs, employee benefits.
- To provide employee welfare.
- All activities non-discriminatory; earmarked donations used specifically.
- To appoint managing committees (max 3 years); accountable & dissolvable if mismanaged.
